Notice of Amendment to Compliance Document
E2 External Moisture and Where Material Incorporated by Reference is Available for Inspection and Purchase
Pursuant to section 24(1) of the Building Act 2004 ("the Act"), I give notice of an amendment to the compliance document for New Zealand Building Code clause E2 External Moisture ("Compliance Document E2") by the inclusion of an acceptable solution for earth buildings ("E2/AS2").
The amendment to Compliance Document E2 comes into force on 1 May 2008 ("the effective date").
Compliance Document E2 is available for download free of charge from the Department of Building and Housing ("DBH") website at:
New material incorporated by reference
Pursuant to sections 405 and 410(1)(e) of the Act 2004, I give notice that the following material will be incorporated by reference into the Compliance Document E2 effective on 1 May 2008:

Purchase of material incorporated by reference
The material incorporated by reference described above may be purchased directly from Standards New Zealand, Radio New Zealand House, Level 10, 155 The Terrace, Wellington, or online at
Copies of material incorporated by reference are also available for purchase through all of DBH’s offices.
Viewing materials incorporated by reference
Materials incorporated by reference are available for inspection free of charge at the DBH national office, Level 6, 86 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, between the hours of 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

DBH also has tenancy service delivery locations in Whangarei, Henderson, Takapuna, Tauranga, Rotorua, Gisborne, Napier, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Lower Hutt, Nelson, Blenheim, Greymouth, Timaru, Dunedin and Invercargill.

Reappointments to the Housing New Zealand Corporation Board
Pursuant to section 28(a) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, we hereby reappoint
Patrick Nesbitt Snedden
as chair of the Housing New Zealand Corporation Board for a term of three years commencing on 17 December 2007;
and
Anthony Richard Paine
as a member of the Housing New Zealand Corporation Board for a term of 18 months commencing on 17 December 2007;
and
Gregory Paul Hinton
as a member of the Housing New Zealand Corporation Board for a term of three years commencing on 17 December 2007.

Marine Mammals Protection Regulations 1992
Declaration That No New Permits Are to be Issued for Commercial Operations
Pursuant to Regulation 15 of the Marine Mammals Protection Regulations 1992, the Acting Director-General of Conservation hereby declares that from the date of this notice until 1 May 2012, no new permits shall be granted for commercial operations to view or swim with Hector’s dolphins (Cephalorhynchus hectori) in the following areas:
(a) Akaroa Harbour Operational Zone, defined here as all those waters between Pompey’s Pillar (173°4.691E 43°51.292S; 2516309 East, 5706022 North (NZMG GD1949)) and Snuffle Nose (172°49.578E 43°53.412S; 2496063 East, 5702086 North (NZMG GD1949)), including Akaroa Harbour and extending out perpendicular to the shore to 4 nautical miles from the shore; and
(b) Lyttelton Harbour Operational Zone, defined here as all those waters between South Brighton Surf Club (172°44.204E 43°31.432S; 2488750 East, 5742779 North (NZMG GD1949)) and Wakaroa Point (172°55.956E 43°37.481S; 2504589 East, 5731600 North (NZMG GD1949)), including Lyttelton Harbour and extending out perpendicular to the shore to 4 nautical miles from the shore.
