Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007
Notification of Approval of Licensed Immigration Advisers Code of Conduct 2008 and Immigration Advisers Competency Standards 2008
Pursuant to section 38 of the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007, I hereby give notice of approval of the Immigration Advisers Competency Standards 2008 and the Licensed Immigration Advisers Code of Conduct 2008, which will come into effect on 4 May 2008.
The standards and the code of conduct can be viewed and downloaded free from the Immigration Advisers Authority (“Authority”) website

Environmental Risk Management Authority
Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996
Notice of Approval of Code of Practice
Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority advises that it approved on 22 February 2008, the Code of Practice for the Management of Existing Stationary Container Systems at Timber Treatment Facilities.
This code is intended to provide a means of compliance with the regulatory requirements of Schedule 8 clause 100(2)(c), Schedule 9 clause 3(1)(b) and Schedule 9 clause 4(4)(d) of the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004 (as amended) in respect of stationary tanks that:
- contain water borne preservatives that do not have a flammable hazard classification; and
- are no greater than 110,000 litres in capacity; and
- were in use prior to 1 April 2004 or were designed and construction had commenced by 1 April 2004.

Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004
Pedestrian Crossing Warning Lights Trial Extension
Pursuant to subclause 3.4(1) of the Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004 and pursuant to a sub-delegation to me by the Director of Land Transport, I, Lyndon Bryan Hammond, Manager Networks, hereby authorise the continuation until Friday, 4 April 2008, of the installation and maintenance of experimental warning lights at 3 pedestrian crossings as described in the notice entitled “Pedestrian Crossing Warning Lights Trial” which was published in the New Zealand Gazette, 19 January 2006, No. 5, page 104.
