Vitamin A; for internal use in medicines containing 3000 micrograms or less of retinol equivalents per recommended daily dose; in parenteral nutrition replacement preparations; for external use in medicines containing 1% or less

Vitamin D; for external use; for internal use in medicines containing 25 micrograms or less per recommended daily dose; in parenteral nutrition replacement preparations

Regulation 20 of the Medicines Regulations 1984 requires that all medicines sold without a practitioner’s prescription must include a consumer information panel on the label. Further, all material changes to a medicine (including changes to labelling) must be notified to the Director-General of Health in accordance with section 24 of the Medicines Act 1981.

Pursuant to section 92 of the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992, I, Stephen Bruce McKernan, Director-General of Health, give the following notice.

  1. This notice shall be read together with the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act Notice 2000—Appointment of Directors of Area Mental Health Services (“the principal notice”).

  2. The Schedule to the principal notice is amended in respect of

“Area 3—Bay of Plenty”

by omitting the name and title

“Erina Morrison, registered nurse, of Rotorua”

and substituting the name and title

“Daniel Smith, medical practitioner, of Rotorua”.

Acting District Court Judges Appointed

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint

John Cadenhead, retired District Court Judge

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand, and to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Courts under Part 2A of the District Courts Act 1947, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, pursuant to the said section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, for a term of two years on and from 7 February 2008; and

Alexander James Twaddle, retired District Court Judge

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, pursuant to the said section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, and also to exercise the jurisdiction of the Family Courts, pursuant to section 7 of the Family Courts Act 1980, for a term of two years on and from 11 February 2008.
