Pursuant to section 52(1) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, R. J. Sutherland, Land Information New Zealand, declares that the land described in the Schedule to this notice is set apart for road which, pursuant to section 5 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, forms part of State Highway 1 and shall remain vested in the Crown on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Local Purpose (Pedestrian) Reserve (Acquisition of Land for Access)—Bucklands Beach, Manukau City
Notice is hereby given that the Manukau City Council (“the council”), under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).
The land is required for local purpose (pedestrian) reserve.
The intended taking is considered reasonably necessary for a pedestrian link, linking The Parade with Hattaway Avenue including Devon Road and The Parade with Bucklands Beach Road.
The pedestrian link will:
(a) improve pedestrian access to Bucklands Beach;
(b) enhance pedestrian safety;
(c) give certainty as to maintenance responsibilities; and
(d) give control over vehicular activity.
Council considers there are no other suitable or better alternative sites, routes or other methods of achieving the above objectives and the acquisition of the land for local purpose (pedestrian) reserve is considered reasonably necessary.
The owners of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the council’s intention to take the land and advised of their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Ministry of Justice, PO Box 7147, Wellesley Street, Auckland, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held.
The objector will have a right to appear and be heard personally, unless the objector otherwise requires.
Each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Airport Purposes—Rotorua District
Notice is hereby given that the Rotorua District Council, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).
The land described in the Schedule to this notice is required for airport purposes.
The proposed land use is in accordance with the designation under the district plan.
The intended taking is considered reasonably necessary to enable extension of the main runway of the Rotorua airport in compliance with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Regulations, and for the efficient and safe operation of the Rotorua airport.
The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Rotorua District Council’s intention to take the land and their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, 8th Floor, District Court Building, 3 Kingston Street (PO Box 7147) Wellesley Street, Auckland, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held.
