Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That the Area Become a Reserve and Vest in the Christchurch City Council
Under section 7(1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator of the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the land described in the Schedule is held for conservation purposes and, under section 8(1A) of that Act, the Conservator further declares that the conservation area be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of the latter Act, and vests the reserve in the Christchurch City Council in trust for that purpose.

Pursuant to section 20(1) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Stephen Robert Gilbert, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, pursuant to an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule to this notice is acquired for road which, pursuant to section 5 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, forms part of State Highway 12 and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
