Notice of Exemption from Maritime Rules 21.13(1)(b), 31A.14(b), 31B.15(a), 31C.10(a), 32.9(3)(b), 40A.15(1)(b), 40C.53(1) Appendix 4.3, 46.11(1) and 90.11(1)(b)
Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions:
- 3 from Maritime Rule 21.13(1)(b) – re entry to and conditions to be met in order for ship to remain in Safe Ship Management
- 1 from Maritime Rule 31A.14(b) – re crewing and watchkeeping unlimited, offshore and coastal (non-fishing vessels) – other ships
- 1 from Maritime Rule 31B.15(a) – re crewing and watchkeeping offshore, coastal and restricted (non-fishing vessels) – enclosed areas
- 1 from Maritime Rule 31C.10(a) – re crewing and watchkeeping fishing vessels – offshore area
- 1 from Maritime Rule 32.9(3)(b) – re ships’ personnel – qualifications – local launch operator
- 4 from Maritime Rule 40A.15(1)(b) – re design, construction and equipment – passenger ships which are not SOLAS ships – freeboard
- 1 from Maritime Rule 40C.53(1) Appendix 4.3 – re design, construction and equipment – non-passenger ships that are not SOLAS ships – radiocommunication equipment
- 2 from Maritime Rule 46.11(1) – re surveys, certification and maintenance – inspection of the outside of the ship’s bottom
- 1 from Maritime Rule 90.11(1)(b) – re pilotage – general requirements and conditions

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road—State Highway 75, Halswell Road, Christchurch, Canterbury Land District
Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).
The land described in the Schedule to this notice is required for road, namely for the improvements to the intersection of State Highway 75, Halswell and Dunbars Roads, Christchurch.
The project is required to cater for increasing traffic volumes and to improve the safety and efficiency of the intersection.
The proposed land use is in accordance with the designation under the district plan.
