Notice of Consultation on Proposed Compliance Document for Backcountry Huts and Notice Stating Where Statement of Proposal is Available and Where Materials Proposed to be Incorporated by Reference are Available for Inspection and Purchase

Pursuant to section 29 of the Building Act 2004 (“the Act”), I give notice that a new compliance document for backcountry huts is proposed to be issued (“proposed Backcountry Huts Compliance Document”).

Material incorporated by reference

Pursuant to sections 405 and 410(1)(e) of the Act, I give notice that the following material is proposed to be incorporated by reference into the proposed Backcountry Huts Compliance Document:

Viewing of the statement of proposal and material incorporated by reference

The Statement of Proposal and material proposed to be incorporated by reference are available for viewing free of charge at the following Department of Building and Housing (“DBH”) and Department of Conservation (“DoC”) offices:

The material incorporated by reference described above may be purchased directly from the National Office of the DBH, Level 6, 86 Customhouse Quay, Wellington.

It is also available for free online at www.dbh.govt.nz

Copies of material incorporated by reference are also available for purchase.

Notice of Approval of Retirement Villages Code of Practice 2008

Pursuant to sections 89(4) and 89(6) of the Retirement Villages Act 2003, the Minister for Building and Construction gives notice that the Retirement Villages Code of Practice 2008 is hereby approved and shall come into force on 2 October 2009.

The Retirement Villages Code of Practice 2008 is available for viewing and downloading free of charge on the Department of Building and Housing website www.dbh.govt.nz/retirement-villages
