Notice of Amendment to Compliance Document C Fire Safety and Where Material Incorporated by Reference is Available for Inspection and Purchase, and of Amendment to Compliance Document F7 Warning Systems

Pursuant to section 24(1) of the Building Act 2004 (“the Act”), I give notice of an amendment to the compliance documents for New Zealand Building Code

clauses C Fire Safety (“Compliance Document C”) and F7 Warning Systems (“Compliance Document F7”).

The amendments to Compliance Document C and Compliance Document F7 come into force on 1 November 2008.

Compliance Document C and Compliance Document F7 are available for download free of charge from the Department of Building and Housing (“DBH”) website at

www.dbh.govt.nz

New materials incorporated by reference

Pursuant to sections 405 and 410(1)(e) of the Building Act 2004 (“the Act”), I give notice that the following materials will be incorporated by reference into the Compliance Document C, effective on 1 November 2008:

AS 1530.7:2007

Amendment 1 of AS/NZS 1221:1997

Amendment to material incorporated by reference

Pursuant to sections 406(c)(ii) and 410(1)(e) of the Act, I give notice that the material previously incorporated by reference into Compliance Document C, as set out in Column 1 below, will be replaced by the material in Column 2:

Column 2
NZS 4503:2005

The changes to material incorporated by reference set out in Column 2 will take effect in the amended Compliance Document C on 1 November 2008.

Material ceasing to have legal effect

Pursuant to section 408 of the Act, I give notice that the following material incorporated by reference in Compliance Document C is revoked and will cease to have legal effect:

NZS 4203:1992

ISO 834:1975

ISO 3008:1976

ISO 3009:1976
