COMMERCE ACT (ELECTRICITY INFORMATION DISCLOSURE
AMENDMENT REQUIREMENTS) NOTICE (NO 2) 2008
Pursuant to section 57T of the Commerce Act 1986
The Electricity Information Disclosure Amendment Requirements (No 2) 2008 (the
“Amendment Requirements”) were made by the Commerce Commission
(“Commission”) on 15 August 2008.
The amendments apply in respect of the 2007/2008 and subsequent financial years.
Amendments to Electricity Information Disclosure Requirements 2004
The Amendment Requirements amend the Electricity Information Disclosure
Requirements 2004 (“the Principal Requirements”) to give effect to the Commerce
Commission’s decision, following an administrative settlement between the
Commission and Transpower New Zealand Limited, to require that company to report
asset values in accordance with the depreciated historic cost (DHC) principles rather
than the ODV method.
Obtaining copies of the Amendment Requirements
Copies of the Amendment Requirements, and the Principal Requirements (as
amended by the Amendment Requirements and previous amendments to the Principal
Requirements), are available for inspection free of charge during ordinary office hours
at the Commission:
