Pursuant to section 55 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand, hereby amends the notice with the above heading dated the 6th day of June 2008 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 12 June 2008, No. 98, page 2606, by deleting under the area of 28m² in the Schedule the legal description

“part Lot 3 DP 9121”

and replacing it with

“part Lot 2 DP 9121”.

Cancellation of the Vesting of a Reserve in the South Wairarapa District Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over the Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Acting Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation cancels the vesting in the South Wairarapa District Council and revokes the reservation as a stock route and resting place for travelling stock reserve over the land described in the Schedule with the effect that the land is now Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

Classification and Naming of Reserves

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserves described in the Schedule as scenic reserves for the purposes specified in section 19(1)(a) of the Act, and further declares that the reserves are to be known by the names as shown at the end of their respective descriptions.

Reserves Act 1977

Change of Classification to Part of a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the Bay of Plenty Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of that part of the reserve described in the Schedule from a recreation reserve to a government purpose (wildlife refuge) reserve, subject to the provisions of the Act, and further declares that the reserve will be known as Ohope Spit Wildlife Refuge Reserve.
