Corrigendum—Electricity Governance Regulations (Exemption No. 89 (System Operator)) Exemption Notice 2008

In the notice with the above heading published in the New Zealand Gazette, 3 July 2008, No. 110, page 2872, please replace subclause 4(b)(i) with

“4(b)(i) at its discretion, set or endeavour to set the reserve requirement to one of the settings specified in paragraph (c) below that the system operator considers is appropriate to the power system conditions at the time; and”

Land Transport Rule: Heavy-vehicle Brakes 2006

Approval of Computer Software

Pursuant to subclause 10.6(8) of Land Transport Rule: Heavy-vehicle Brakes 2006 (“the Rule”), and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport (“the director”), I, Bruce Hamilton Currie, Senior Vehicle Engineer, hereby approve the computer software specified in Schedule 1 of this notice for the purpose of demonstrating compliance with the requirements in Schedule 5 of the Rule, subject to the conditions in Schedule 2.

Schedule 1 – the software to be approved

Title: “Brake It 2007” of Haldex Brake Products GmbH – Heidelberg.

Version: V 1.00 of 02/2008 and all subsequent versions.

Schedule 2 – the conditions of the approval

  • Haldex Brake Products GmbH provides copies of the subsequent versions of the software to Land Transport New Zealand, together with additional information as may be necessary, before the subsequent version of the software can be used in New Zealand.
  • Haldex Brake Products GmbH and its representative in New Zealand will ensure that the software is used only by properly trained and authorised persons in New Zealand, and will keep a continuously updated register of those persons, and will make that register available for the director or the director’s representative if requested.
  • Haldex Brake Products GmbH and its representative in New Zealand will ensure that the programming and/or reprogramming of any electronic device supplied by Haldex Brake Products GmbH to the New Zealand market for use in the control system of heavy vehicle brakes, will only be carried out by persons specifically trained and authorised by Haldex Brake Products GmbH for such tasks.

Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2002/17* Bylaw Regulating Heavy Motor Vehicle Traffic on State Highways

Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the following bylaw.

Amendment

  1. This amendment shall come into force 28 days after publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. The Transit New Zealand Bylaw (Regulating Heavy Motor Vehicle Traffic on State Highways) 2002/17* is hereby amended by:

    In the Fourth Schedule†, after the first paragraph, insert:

    “The Curran Street northbound on-ramp in Auckland City, commencing at the northern end of Curran Street and extending in a generally northerly direction for a distance of approximately 264 metres until the on-ramp merges with the Northern Motorway section of State Highway No. 1 near the southern abutment of the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

    That part of the Auckland Northern Motorway section of State Highway No. 1 comprising lane 2 of the westernmost box girder extension of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, in the northbound direction, commencing at the southern abutment of the Auckland Harbour Bridge and extending in a generally northerly direction to the northern abutment of the Auckland Harbour Bridge (Route Position 414/10.790 to Route Position 414/9.210); a distance of approximately 1.6 kilometres.”

This bylaw amendment was made by resolution passed at a meeting of Transit New Zealand held in Wellington on 2 July 2008.
