Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Rau Aroha, Matamata, Establishment

Pursuant to sections 146 and 155 of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Rau Aroha, Matamata, Establishment.

  2. This notice shall come into force the day after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  3. I hereby establish at Ngarua near Matamata, a Years 1–13 composite school called Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Rau Aroha and designate the school as a Kura Kaupapa Māori.

  4. The school will operate in accordance with Te Aho Matua.

  5. The special characteristics of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Rau Aroha are:

The whanau of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Rau Aroha commit totally to the guiding principles outlined in Te Aho Matua that:

  • the paramount purpose of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Rau Aroha is to meet the needs of tamariki and their learning;
  • all tamariki enjoy an education that respects their Tino Rangatiratanga, dignity, rights and individuality;
  • the whanau undertakes to educate their tamariki through Te Reo Māori total immersion as a medium of instruction;
  • tamariki develop sensitivity and respect for others; and
  • this education challenges them to reach their full potential in the pursuit of excellence.\n

    Constitution of the Establishment Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Rau Aroha shall comprise:

(a) five people appointed by the Minister;
(b) the principal or principal designate; and
(c) not more than four people co-opted by the board.

Fisheries Act 1996

Fisheries (Coromandel Scallop Total Allowable Catch) Notice 2007 (No. F412)

Pursuant to section 13 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries, after having regard to the matters specified in that section, makes the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title—This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Coromandel Scallop Total Allowable Catch) Notice 2007.

  2. Commencement—This notice shall come into effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  3. Coromandel Scallop Fishery defined—The Coromandel Scallop Fishery quota management area is the area as defined in Schedule 4 of the Fisheries (Declaration of New Stock Subject to Quota Management System) Notice 2001.

  4. Total allowable catch for the Coromandel Scallop Fishery increased for 2007–08 fishing year—The total allowable catch for the Coromandel Scallop Fishery for the 2007–08 fishing year is increased to 165 tonnes meatweight in accordance with section 13(7) of the Fisheries Act 1996.

  5. Total allowable catch for the Coromandel Scallop Fishery reverts—From 1 April 2008, the total allowable catch for the Coromandel Scallop Fishery reverts back to 48 tonnes meatweight in accordance with section 13(8) of the Fisheries Act 1996.

Revocation of Consent to the Distribution of a Medicine

Pursuant to section 35(1)(a) of the Medicines Act 1981, the Minister of Health hereby revokes consent to the distribution in New Zealand of the medicine:

  • Prexige (lumiracoxib) 200mg film-coated tablets
  • Prexige (lumiracoxib) 400mg film-coated tablets
