Notice of Amendment to Compliance Document F6
Visibility in Escape Routes and Where Material Incorporated by Reference is Available for Inspection and Purchase

Pursuant to section 24(1) of the Building Act 2004 (“the Act”), I give notice of an amendment to the compliance document for New Zealand Building Code clause F6 Visibility in Escape Routes (“Compliance Document F6”).

The amendments are those consulted on by the notices published in the New Zealand Gazette, 11 August 2005, No. 123, page 3007, and on 7 June 2007, No. 61, page 1627, and include the revocation of F6/VM1 and amendment of F6/AS1.

The amendment to Compliance Document F6 comes into force on 18 October 2007 (“the effective date”).

The amended Compliance Document F6 is available for purchase from Vic Books, 23 Lambton Quay, Wellington, Freephone 0800 370 370 or download free of charge from the Department of Building and Housing (“DBH”) website at

www.dbh.govt.nz

New materials incorporated by reference

Pursuant to sections 405 and 410(1)(e) of the Act, I give notice that the following materials will be incorporated by reference into Compliance Document F6 on the effective date:

AS/NZS 1680.1:2006

Amendment to material incorporated by reference

Pursuant to sections 406(c)(ii) and 410(1)(e) of the Act, I give notice that the material previously incorporated by reference into Compliance Document F6, as set out in Column 1 below, will be replaced by the material in Column 2:

AS/NZS 2293.3:1995 AS 2293.3:2005

The changes to material incorporated by reference set out in Column 2 will take effect in the amended Compliance Document F6 on the effective date.

Material ceasing to have legal effect

Pursuant to section 408 of the Act, I give notice that the following material incorporated by reference is revoked and will cease to have legal effect on the effective date:

NZS 6742:1971
NZFA 92B:1995

Viewing materials incorporated by reference

Materials incorporated by reference are available for inspection free of charge at the DBH national office, Level 6, 86 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, between the hours of 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Reappointments to the New Zealand Historic Places Trust Board

Pursuant to section 28 of the Crown Entities Act 2004, I reappoint

Te Aue Davis, of Auckland
Dr Merata Kawharu, of Auckland

as members for a further term of office from 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2009; and reappoint

Tumu te Heuheu, of Turangi

as a member for a further term of office from 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2010.
