Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996
Notice of Approval of Code of Practice
Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority advises that it has approved a Code of Practice for Disused Below Ground Stationary Tanks on Farms.
This code is intended to provide a means of compliance with the requirements of clause 40(2)(b)(ii) of Schedule 8 to the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004 (as amended).
This code can be inspected at the Wellington office of ERMA New Zealand, Level 1, BP House, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, and is available from the ERMA New Zealand website

Notice of Approval of Code of Practice
Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority advises that it has approved a Code of Practice for Approval of UL296 as a Standard for the Design of a Burner.
This code is intended to provide a means of compliance with the requirements of clause 68(4)(c) of Schedule 8 to the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004 (as amended).
This code can be inspected at the Wellington office of ERMA New Zealand, Level 1, BP House, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, and is available from the ERMA New Zealand website

Notice of Intention to Apply for Approval of Code of Practice
Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“HSNO Act”), the Environmental Risk Management Authority gives notice that The New Zealand Refining Company Limited (NZRC) intends to apply for the approval of the Department of Labour Code of Practice for Pressure Equipment (Excluding Boilers) as a code of practice under the HSNO Act.
Under clauses 73(3)(a)(iv), (b)(iv) and (d)(iv) of Schedule 8 to the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004 (as amended) the Authority may approve a code of practice equivalent to standards approved for pipework.
NZRC has applied for the Department of Labour code to be approved under these clauses.

Pursuant to section 38 of the Securities Markets Act 1988, the Securities Commission (“Commission”) gives the following notice.
Notice

Title, commencement and expiry—(1) This notice is the Authorised Futures Dealers Notice (No. 3) 2007.
(2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
(3) This notice expires on the close of 31 July 2012. -
Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:
“Act” means the Securities Markets Act 1988.
“exemption notice” means the Securities Act (Registered Banks Futures Contracts) Exemption Notice 2007.
