Land Transfer Act Notice

I hereby give notice of an application lodged with me for the issue of a Computer Freehold Register to the below-named applicant, under section 19 of the Land Transfer Act 1952, for the land described below. Such Computer Freehold Register may be issued unless caveat forbidding the same is lodged on or before 4 June 2007.

Description: An estate in fee simple in 1.6295 hectares, being Lots 1 and 2 on a plan lodged for deposit in the Canterbury Land District under LT 365523, being parts Rural Sections 6132, 6162 and 8472, which is the residue of the land remaining in Deeds Index C8472 and 4c/s814, such land being part of the land granted to Albert Betham and Richard Boulton under Crown Grant Conveyances 21378 and 35980 in 1865 and 1872 respectively, who are recorded as being the documentary owners thereof.

Cavell Insurance Company Limited (formerly NW Reinsurance Company Limited)

Proposed Release of Deposit

Pursuant to the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act 1953

Cavell Insurance Company Limited (hereinafter called "the company") has given notice to Public Trust that it has ceased to carry on the business of insurance in New Zealand and that it proposes to withdraw, pursuant to section 19 of the Act, the deposit which has been made by it with Public Trust.

Public Trust therefore gives notice, pursuant to section 19(3) of the Act, that being satisfied that all liabilities of the company in New Zealand in respect of such insurance business have been fully liquidated or provided for, proposes to release to the company on or after 25 May 2007, the amount deposited by the company.

Any objections to the release of the amount deposited should be lodged with Public Trust, 141 Willis Street, Wellington 6011, on or before 18 May 2007.

Unclaimed Property

Notice of Election to Manage Property

Pursuant to section 101(1) of the Public Trust Act 2001, Public Trust hereby gives notice that:

(a) Cornelia Mary Edwards, spinster, of Oamaru, who is presumed dead, is the owner of the property described in the Schedule hereto, and was granted the land on 14 April 1869.

(b) Public Trust elects to become manager of the property, it being satisfied that it is advisable in terms of section 101(1) of the above Act.

A part of Highcliff Road, Waverley, Dunedin, being an estate in fee simple, part Deeds Index P175, Deeds Register Vol. 46, page 929, also described as Section 10 SO 372980 (Otago Registry).
