Linton Military Camp Defence Rural Fire District
Constitution and Administration Notice 2007

Pursuant to sections 4(1) and 8(1) of the Forest and Rural
Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby
makes the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice is the Linton
    Military Camp Defence Rural Fire District Constitution and
    Administration Notice 2007.

(2) This notice comes into force 28 days after its publication
in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Constitution of the Linton Military Camp Defence
    Rural Fire District
    —(1) The areas set out in the Schedule
    to this notice are hereby constituted and declared to be a
    rural fire district to be known as the Linton Military Camp
    Defence Rural Fire District.

(2) The boundaries of the fire district are defined and
delineated on plan NRFA0701, held at the offices of the
National Rural Fire Authority, Wellington.

  1. The Fire Authority for the Linton Military Camp
    Defence Rural Fire District
    —For the purposes of the
    Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977 the Minister of Defence is
    the Fire Authority for the Linton Military Camp Defence
    Rural Fire District.

Schedule

Linton Military Camp.
Military area at Makomako, Tararua District.

Proposed Variation to the Retirement Villages
Code of Practice 2006

I give notice that, in accordance with section 91 of the
Retirement Villages Act 2003, I invite written submissions
on the proposed variation to the Retirement Villages Code
of Practice 2006 to be received at my office by Wednesday,
9 May 2007.\n
The proposed variation is to clause 49.1(e) of the code of
practice, which relates to refurbishment and fair wear and
tear, and there are also some proposed minor editorial
amendments to other clauses.

Pursuant to section 4(4) of the Forest and Rural Fires Act
1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the
following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited
    as the Makomako Defence Rural Fire District Abolition
    Notice 2007.

(2) This notice will come into force 28 days after its
publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Abolition of Makomako Defence Rural Fire
    District
    —The Makomako Defence Rural Fire District is
    hereby abolished.

  2. Revocation of Rural Fire District Notice—The
    Makomako Defence Rural Fire District Notice 1986* is
    hereby revoked.

Requirements and Exemptions for Profiles
(Investment Plans) for 2008–2010 for Tertiary
Education Organisations

Pursuant to sections 159X and 159Y of the Education Act
1989, the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) gives the
following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Requirements and
    Exemptions for Profiles (Investment Plans) for 2008–2010
    for Tertiary Education Organisations Notice 2007.

  2. This notice applies from the date of its publication.

Introduction

  1. From 2008, in the interests of streamlining the funding
    process and reducing compliance costs for tertiary education
    organisations, charters and profiles will be merged into one
    document called an Investment Plan ("Plan").

  2. To access funding from the TEC for 2008 and onwards,
    all organisations, other than those exempted by this
    notice, are required to have an approved Plan in place by
    31 December 2007 that covers the three-year period
    from 2008 to 2010.

  3. Plans will be summary-level documents, subject to
    ongoing dialogue and annual review. The scale of the
    Plans will vary, depending on the size and complexity of
    the organisation.
