Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Waipawa School (2723)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Waipawa School Board of Trustees because of the risks to the operation of the school and the educational performance of its students.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

  • All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
  • all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage curriculum and assessment practice (whether statutory or otherwise);
  • ensuring areas for improvement identified in the current and any future Education Review Office reports are implemented.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12(1)(b) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 8 November 2006, which was granted under those Regulations to Annette Pile in respect of Masterton East Kotahitanga Playcentre (60002), situated at 33 Johnson Street, Masterton.

This cancellation also has the effect of cancelling any provisional licence issued to this service.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Antarctic Marine Living Resources Act 1981

Permits Authorising the Taking of Antarctic Marine Living Resources Notice (No. 1) 2007 (No. F395)

Pursuant to section 5(7) of the Antarctic Marine Living Resources Act 1981, the Minister of Fisheries gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Permits Authorising the Taking of Antarctic Marine Living Resources Notice (No. 1) 2007.

(2) This notice shall come into effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Authorisation—(1) I have issued the following persons and/or companies with permits which authorise the taking of Antarctic marine living resources within waters to which the Convention on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) applies, subject to certain conditions as detailed in each individual permit.

(2) Each permit is valid for the period detailed in this notice and in the individual permit.
