Notification of Determination of the Precise Question at an Indicative Referendum

Pursuant to section 13 of the Citizens Initiated Referenda Act 1993, I hereby give notice that Larry Baldock:

– has been approved to use, for the purposes of an indicative referendum petition, the wording determined in the paragraph below;
– is the promoter of an indicative referendum petition in which the wording determined in the paragraph below is to be used;
– has been approved to use a form for the purposes of the indicative referendum petition; and

that the wording of the specific question to be put to voters in the proposed indicative referendum is:

“Should the Government give urgent priority to understanding and addressing the wider causes of family breakdown, family violence and child abuse in New Zealand?”

Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997

Notice of Application to Register a Trade Name Product (Notice No. 1586)

Pursuant to section 14(1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997, the Director-General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry hereby gives notice that the following application has been made to register a trade name product under section 9(1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997:

Trade Name: Yates Nature’s Way Tomato Dust

Reference: P7671

Active Ingredients and Concentrations:
Spinosad 0.5g/kg
Copper as copper oxychloride 40g/kg
Sulphur as elemental sulphur in the form of a dustable powder 400g/kg

General Use Claims: Controls caterpillars, leaf spot, other insects and diseases on tomatoes.

Any person may make a written submission to the director-general, under section 17 of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997, concerning any application notified above.

Such submissions:

(a) must state in full the reasons for making the submission;
(b) may state any decision sought on that application;
(c) must be received by the director-general no later than 30 working days after the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette; and
(d) should be forwarded to the address given below.

A copy of every submission will be forwarded to the applicant for their information.
