Biosecurity (American Foulbrood – Apiary and Beekeeper Levy) Order 2003

Notification of Rates of Levy for the 2007–2008 Levy Year

The Management Agency of the American Foulbrood National Pest Management Strategy hereby advises, as prescribed in the Biosecurity (American Foulbrood – Apiary and Beekeeper Levy) Order 2003, that the levy for the 2007–2008 year will be as follows.

The levy rate will be (excluding GST):

(a) Base levy of $20.00; and

(b) Apiary levy of $8.50 per apiary.

However, as stated in clause 7(4), if a beekeeper owns fewer than 11 beehives on fewer than four apiaries, the sum of the number of registered apiaries must be treated as one.

Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (Fees) Amendment Notice 2007

Pursuant to sections 142 and 143 of the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006, the following notice is given.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (Fees) Amendment Notice 2007 and should be read in conjunction with the notices published in the New Zealand Gazette, 18 December 2003, No. 173, page 4790, New Zealand Gazette, 17 March 2005, No. 52, page 1333 and New Zealand Gazette, 22 June 2006, No. 63, page 1521.

(2) This notice comes into force on 1 April 2007.

2. Fees—Pursuant to sections 142(1)(a), 142(1)(i) and 143(1) of the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006, the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board sets the following fees, payable to the board, specified in the attached Schedule.

3. Tax—The fees are inclusive of goods and services tax.

A. Licence Fees¹

Following registration and the issue of a licence (sections 36 and 36A of the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 1976) 85.00

B. Disciplinary Levy²
Base disciplinary levy for each licence for each 12-month period 25.00

C. Examination Fee
Examination fees (section 142(1)(i) of the Act) 300.00

Key to Annotation

1 The waiver of the licence fee and disciplinary levy in the year in which the applicant is first registered as a plumber, gasfitter or drainlayer, is hereby revoked.

2 Relevant licence fee including disciplinary levy is to be collected concurrently.

3 The examination fees are increased from $175.00 to $300.00 per examination for persons applying to sit the Board’s examinations 9192, 9193, 9194, 9195, 9196 and 9197 in each examination as from 1 April 2007.
