Electoral Act (Appointment of Members of the Representation Commission) Order 2006

IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 28 of the Electoral Act 1993, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the nomination of the House of Representatives, hereby appoints:

(a) as members of the Representation Commission, to hold office under section 28(2)(e) of the Electoral Act 1993:

David Francis Caygill, of Christchurch (who is nominated to represent the Government);
and

Roger Morrison Sowry, of Paraparaumu (who is nominated to represent the Opposition);

and

(b) as members of the Representation Commission to hold office under section 28(3)(b) of the Electoral Act 1993, for the purposes of determining the boundaries of the Māori electoral districts:

Whetumarama Wereta, of Lower Hutt (who is nominated to represent the Government);
and

(Terrence) John McEnteer, of Wellington (who is nominated to represent the Opposition).
