any previous fire district notices pertaining to the Avon Fire
District.

Christchurch Fire District Notice, December 2003

Pursuant to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the
New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives
the following notice.

Notice

This notice may be cited as the Christchurch Fire District
Notice, December 2003.
This notice shall come into force on 10 December 2003.
This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous
fire district notices for Avon and Waimairi Fire Districts.

Constitution of a Fire District

(a) The urban areas of Christchurch are hereby constituted
as a fire district.

(b) The boundary of the constituted fire district is defined
and delineated on a plan held at the National
Headquarters, New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.

Abolition Notice, December 2003.
This notice shall come into force on 10 December 2003.
This notice abolishes the Waimairi Fire District and
revokes any previous fire district notices pertaining to the
Waimairi Fire District.

New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946

Notice of the Decisions of the Minister for Land Information on Assigning or Altering Place Names

Pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice was given on 31 May 2007 of the intention of
the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa to assign the new or altered place names stated in the first
column of the Schedule below, to the respective places described in the second column of the said Schedule. Objections were
received to these proposed names and were dealt with pursuant to section 13 of the said Act.

I hereby declare my decisions, made on 3 December 2007, are that the names of these places shall be as referred to in the first
column of the Schedule below, as described in the second column of the said Schedule, and that these decisions take effect on
13 December 2007.

Schedule

North Auckland Land District

Te Oneone Rangatira Beach Beach adjacent to Woodhill Forest, extending from Kaipara Harbour entrance down to
Muriwai Beach, topographic maps 260-Q09 Kaipara and 260-Q10 Helensville,
GR 195 158. Restoring the original Māori name and altering the spelling from Rangitira
Beach.
