Appointment of Papakura as a Place in Which a District Court May be Held for the Exercise of Criminal Jurisdiction in Respect of Indictable Offences

Pursuant to section 4(2A) of the District Courts Act 1947,
His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint, as from the commencement of 1 February 2008, Papakura as a place in which courts may be held for the exercise of criminal jurisdiction in respect of indictable offences under Part 2A of the District Courts Act 1947.

Juries Act 1981

District Court Jury Districts Notice 2007

Pursuant to section 5(4) of the Juries Act 1981, I, The Honourable Anand Satyanand, P.C.N.Z.M., Q.S.O., Governor-General of New Zealand, on the advice of the Minister for Courts, hereby give the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the District Court Jury Districts Notice 2007.
   (2) This notice shall come into force on 1 February 2008.

2. District Court Jury Districts—The boundaries of the Auckland District Court Jury District, the Manukau District Court Jury District and the Papakura District Court Jury District are hereby declared to be those shown in respect of each of those districts on the maps set out in Schedules A, B and C to this notice.

3. Revocation—The District Court Jury Districts Notice 2000, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 31 August 2000, No. 117, pages 2986–2988, is hereby revoked.
