Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Completion of Review and Initiation of Reassessment: Canned Peaches From South Africa

Pursuant to sections 14(6) and 14(8) of the Dumping and
Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (“the Act”), and acting
under delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the
Ministry of Economic Development, having carried out a
review (notice of initiation of which was published in the
New Zealand Gazette, 7 June 2007, No. 61, page 1621) of
the imposition of anti-dumping duty in respect of imports
into New Zealand of canned peaches from South Africa,
I hereby give the following notice.

Notice

Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited
as the Completion of the 2007 Review and Initiation of
Reassessment: Anti-dumping Duties on Canned Peaches
from South Africa.

(2) I have completed the review and determined that
there is a likelihood of a continuation and recurrence of
dumping causing material injury to the New Zealand
industry producing like goods, should anti-dumping

duties be removed and therefore the continuing imposition
of anti-dumping duties on the goods described in the
Schedule is necessary.

(3) I have initiated a reassessment of the amount of
anti-dumping duty in respect of imports into New Zealand
of the goods described in the Schedule.

Canned peaches (halves, slices or pieces) packed in various
concentrations of sugar syrup and in can sizes ranging from
110 grams to 3 kilograms (A10).

Education Act 1989

Exclusion of the Following Premises From the Term Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to section 308(2)(i) of the Education Act 1989,
I hereby declare that premises of the following kind or
description are not early childhood centres.

Any premises during any period of use for the education or
care of children for any period not exceeding four hours a
week in circumstances where the children’s parents or
caregivers are:

(i) in close proximity to the children and are able to be
contacted; and

(ii) able to resume responsibility for the children at short
notice.

This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of
its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
