Civil Aviation Act 1990

Notice of Variation of a Scheduled International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to section 87Q(4) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990,
I, John Gibson Bradbury, Acting Secretary for Transport in
the Ministry of Transport, hereby give notice that I have
varied the terms of the Scheduled International Air Service
Licence issued to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited to
authorise the airline to operate up to 14 services per week
between Hong Kong and New Zealand using any aircraft
type.

This variation will take effect on 8 October 2007.

Notice of Approval Given Pursuant to Section 160(3) of the Crown Entities Act 2004

Pursuant to section 160(3) of the Crown Entities Act 2004,
I, John Henry Whitehead, Secretary to the Treasury, hereby
give notice that on 4 October 2007, the Minister of
Conservation and the Acting Minister of Finance gave
approval under section 160(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act
2004, in relation to section 162 of that Act, for the
Auckland/Waikato Fish and Game Council to borrow up to
$350,000.00 to purchase new office premises.

Environmental Risk Management Authority

Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996

Notice of Approval of a Code of Practice

Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances
and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk
Management Authority advises that it approved on
5 October 2007, an amendment to the Code of Practice for
Retail Fireworks: Design, Performance, Testing, Storage,
Transport, Sale and Use.

This code is intended to provide a means of compliance with
the regulatory requirements of the Hazardous Substances
(Fireworks) Regulations 2001.

The amendment to the code was prepared to specifically
address the regulatory changes resulting from the Hazardous
Substances (Fireworks) Amendment Regulations 2007.

No other changes to the code have been made.

This code can be inspected at the Wellington office of
ERMA New Zealand, Level 1, BP House, 20 Customhouse
Quay, Wellington, or can be downloaded from the ERMA

Conservation Act 1987

Amending Part of a Notice and Declaration That Land be an Open Dog Area: Lead Subject to Conditions

Pursuant to section 26ZS of the Conservation Act 1987,
and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation,
the Conservator for the Northland Conservancy of the
Department of Conservation hereby amends parts of
New Zealand Gazette, 20 December 2004, No. 169, page
4225, by deleting the land described as
Taumarumaru Recreation Reserve (O04032)

from Schedule II (Controlled Dog Area: Entry by Permit for
management and/or recreational hunting subject to
conditions) and inserting the land described as
Taumarumaru Recreation Reserve (O04032)
into Schedule III (Open Dog Areas: Lead Subject to
Conditions:
(a) all dogs shall be kept on a lead not exceeding three
linear metres.
(b) faeces to be removed.)
