then applies.

  1. Revocation of notice and transitional provisions—
    (1) The Public Trust Common Fund Interest Rates Notice
    13 September 2007 is revoked.

(2) The rates of interest specified in Schedules 1 and 2 to this
notice do not apply to any period that ends with 18 September
2007 but otherwise operate as from 19 September 2007.

(3) The rates of interest specified in Schedule 3 to this notice:
(i) do not apply to investment deposits repayable at
the end of a fixed term that commenced prior to
19 September 2007; but
(ii) do apply to investment deposits repayable at the
end of a fixed term that commenced on or after
19 September 2007.

Approval for Rural Assistance Under Special Needs Grants Programme

Under clauses 18.2 and 18.6 of the Special Needs Grants
Programme, as established and approved on 18 December
1998* under section 124(1)(d) of the Social Security Act
1964 (“the programme”), I give my approval for Part 6 of
the programme to apply as follows:

Rural Assistance – Farmers

  1. Farmers in the affected areas whose land-based industries
    were directly affected by the July 2007 floods are eligible
    to be considered for financial assistance under Part 6 of
    the programme.

  2. In relation to such farmers, Part 6 of the programme
    applies for the period beginning on 17 September 2007
    and ending with the close of 30 June 2008, unless further
    extended by the Minister.

  3. In this approval, affected areas means the territories of
    the following local authorities:

  • Far North District Council
  • Kaipara District Council
  • Rodney District Council
  • Whangarei District Council

and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated
22 September 2004, I give notice that having received an
application from Air New Zealand Limited, the Minister
of Transport intends to consider varying the scheduled
