National Rural Fire Authority Fire Safety Margin Exclusion Notice 2007
Pursuant to section 11B of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice is the National Rural Fire Authority Fire Safety Margin Exclusion Notice 2007.
(2) This notice will come into force on the 28th day from the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
- Land excluded from fire safety margin—(1) All that land forming the fire safety margin on any lands of the Crown within the meaning of section 176(1)(a) of the Land Act 1948, and situated in the Canterbury Land District, as defined in the New Zealand Gazette, 19 July 1900, No. 64, page 1383, is hereby excluded from the fire safety margin.
(2) All that land forming the fire safety margin set out in the Schedule to this notice is hereby excluded from the fire safety margin.
Schedule
Canterbury Land District
All those parcels containing 20 hectares as defined by:
(a) Part Reserves 3938 and 4355; as shown on BM 356 and SO 6789, more commonly known as Coutts Island Wildlife Sanctuary.
(b) Rural Section 40490 and part Rural Section 430; as shown on BM 325 and SO 13610, more commonly known as Otukaikino/Wilson’s Swamp Wildlife Reserve.
(c) Section 13 on SO 17137, more commonly known as Conservation Area Brooklands Waterski Club.
(d) The boundaries are more particularly delineated on plans NRFA 0705 entitled Department of Conservation Fire Safety Exclusion Plan, Canterbury Conservancy, deposited in the National Headquarters of the New Zealand Fire Service at Wellington.

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2005/7*
Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways
Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and clause 2.6 of the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003 (Rule 54001), Transit New Zealand hereby amends the following bylaw.
Amendment

This amendment shall come into force 28 days after publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

The Transit New Zealand (Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways) Bylaw 2005/7* is hereby amended by:
(a) Inserting line 484(a) in Schedule 3 to read:
“Transit NZ Region: 10 SH No.: 6 Locality: Hira From (RP): 99/0.98 To (RP): 99/1.82 Distance from nearest Road/Feature: From 100m south-east of Lud Valley Road to 60m south-east of Cable Bay Road. Speed Restriction (km/h): 80 New Zealand Gazette Reference: 20/09/2007, No 102, p2771”
This bylaw amendment as made by resolution passed at a meeting of Transit New Zealand held in Wellington on 1 August 2007.
