Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That the Area Become a Reserve and Vest in the Canterbury Regional Council

Under section 7(1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator of the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the land described in the Schedule is held for conservation purposes and, under section 8(1A) of that Act, the Conservator further declares that the conservation area be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a local purpose (river conservation) reserve subject to the provisions of the latter Act, and vests the reserve in the Canterbury Regional Council in trust for that purpose.
