Notification of Proposal to Make Ordinary Rules
In accordance with section 34 (1) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice of her intention to make the following ordinary Civil Aviation Rule:
Part 91—General Operating and Flight Rules –
Change to 406 MHz emergency locator transmitters (NPRM 06-03, Docket 4/CAR/8).
Consequential Amendments:
Part 1—Definitions and Abbreviations
Part 43—General Maintenance Rules
Part 121—Air Operations-Large Aeroplanes
Part 129—Foreign Air Transport Operator Certification
Comments on the proposed Rule should be submitted to the Docket Clerk by 31 July 2006.
Details of this Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) will be published on 6 July 2006, in the monthly Civil Aviation Rules Register Information Leaflet (CARRIL).

is not a new organism.

Land Transport Act 1998
Notification of Ordinary Rule
Pursuant to section 161 (3) of the Land Transport Act 1998, notification is given of the making of the Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Amendment Rule (No 2) 2006 (Rule 91001/3).
This amendment Rule amends Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Rule 1999 (Rule 91001), which sets out the requirements for obtaining and renewing driver licences and endorsements.
The amendment Rule gives effect to changes to the older driver licensing system, including the abolition of the mandatory on-road test for those aged 80 years and over.
Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Amendment Rule (No 2) 2006 comes into force on 4 December 2006.
It is available for inspection free of charge at the National Office of Land Transport New Zealand, 7 Waterloo Quay, Wellington.

Notice of Approval of Reflectorised Materials for Use on Traffic Signs
Pursuant to subclause 4.4 (7) of the Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004, and pursuant to a sub-delegation to me by the Director of Land Transport, I, Robert Albert Gibson, Senior Engineer, Land Transport New Zealand, hereby approve reflective materials listed in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 for the purpose of traffic signage.
