Notification of General Directions

In accordance with section 27G (1) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notice is hereby given that the Director of Civil Aviation signed the following General Directions on 11 April 2006, which will come into force on 1 May 2006:

● Civil Aviation (Timing of Routine Examinations) General Directions Notice 2006
● Civil Aviation (Examination Procedures) General Directions Notice 2006
● Civil Aviation (Impaired Hearing and Hearing Aids) General Directions Notice 2006

These General Directions are available for inspection at the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand, 10 Hutt Road, Petone. Postal Address: P.O. Box 31-441, Lower Hutt.

Maritime Transport Act 1994

Maritime Rules Part 31A Amendment 1 – Crewing and Watchkeeping Unlimited, Offshore, and Coastal (Non-Fishing Vessels)—Notice of Exemption From Rules 31A.7 (1) (a) and (c)

I, Bruce John Maroc, Deputy Director of Monitoring and Compliance, Maritime New Zealand, pursuant to sections 47 (2) (b) and 47 (3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, and acting under delegated authority, hereby give notice as follows:

● Toll NZ Consolidated Limited and the Master of MV Arahura are exempt from the requirement to carry on board MV Arahura a Marine Engineer Class 1 (MEC1) as required by Rule 31A.7 (1) (a) and (c), provided that a Marine Engineer Class 2 (MEC2) is carried in place of the required MEC1.

● This exemption is valid from 0845 hours on Wednesday, 8 March 2006 to 0845 hours Wednesday, 15 March 2006.

● For the avoidance of doubt, the Notice of Imposition of a Condition in respect of ships owned by Toll NZ Consolidated Limited dated 3 May 2005 shall be varied accordingly for the period of this exemption, to the effect that a MEC2 may be substituted for the required MEC1 in the ship’s engine room for MV Arahura while operating in pilotage area and while the main engine is on standby.

Maritime Rule Part 21 – Safe Ship Management Systems and Maritime Rule Part 31B – Crewing and Watchkeeping—Offshore, Coastal and Restricted (Non–Fishing Vessels)—Notice of Exemption From Rule 21, Section 2 and Rule 31B

I, Bruce John Maroc, Deputy Director, Monitoring and Compliance, Maritime New Zealand, pursuant to sections 7 (2) (b) (iii) and 47 (3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, and acting under delegated authority, hereby give notice as follows:

● The trustees of the Grande Vue Trust are exempt from the Safe Ship Management requirements applicable to owners under Part 21 of the Maritime Rules as required by Maritime Rule Part 21, Section 2, in respect of the Bayliner 3288 motor yacht owned by the trustees of the Grande Vue Trust.

● The trustees of the Grande Vue Trust are also exempt from the Crewing and Watchkeeping requirements of an owner of an offshore, coastal and restricted (non-fishing vessel) as required by Maritime Rule Part 31B, in respect of the Bayliner 3288 motor yacht owned by the trustees of the Grande Vue Trust.

● It is a condition of this exemption that the Bayliner 3288 motor yacht owned by the trustees of the Grande Vue Trust is used in a manner consistent with the definition of "pleasure craft" in section 2 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994 in all respects other than that described in paragraph (c) of that definition.

The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice (No. 2) 2006

Pursuant to section 38 of the Securities Markets Act 1988, the Securities Commission ("Commission") gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title, commencement and expiry—(1) This notice is the Authorised Futures Dealers Notice (No. 2) 2006.

(2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

(3) This notice expires on the close of 30 April 2011.

  1. Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:

"Act" means the Securities Markets Act 1988.

"Australian Financial Services Licence" means a financial services licence issued under chapter 7 of the Corporations Act 2001.
