Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Completion of Review and Initiation of Reassessment: Standard Plasterboard From the Kingdom of Thailand

Pursuant to sections 14 (6) and 14 (8) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (“the Act”), and acting under delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Economic Development, having carried out a review (notice of initiation published in the New Zealand Gazette, 6 October 2005, No. 172, page 4317) of the imposition of anti-dumping duty in respect of imports into New Zealand of standard plasterboard from Thailand, I hereby give the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Completion of the 2005 Review and Initiation of Reassessment: Anti-dumping Duties on Standard Plasterboard from the Kingdom of Thailand.

(2) I have completed the review and determined that there is a likelihood of a recurrence of dumping causing material injury to the New Zealand industry producing like goods, should anti-dumping duties be removed, and therefore the continuing imposition of anti-dumping duties on the goods described in the Schedule is necessary.

(3) I have initiated a reassessment of the amount of anti-dumping duty in respect of imports into New Zealand of the goods described in the Schedule.
