Secretary for Education hereby approves the following
programme as a special programme for the purposes of an
enrolment scheme.

The Papanui High School programme providing
English for adult new migrants who are speakers
of other languages

Board of Trustees Election Notice

Acting with authority delegated by the Minister of
Education, under section 101 (7) of the Education Act 1989,
I approve Friday, 26 May 2006, as the closing date for
voting in the first elections of parent representatives and a
staff representative for Upper Harbour Primary School
Board of Trustees.

I also approve Monday, 12 June 2006, as the date for the
first meeting of the board of trustees.

This notice shall take effect the day after publication.

Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000

Replacement of the National Energy Efficiency and

Conservation Strategy

Pursuant to section 12 (3) (a) of the Energy Efficiency and
Conservation Act 2000, the Acting Minister of Energy gives
the following notice:

The Acting Minister of Energy has decided that the
existing National Energy Efficiency and Conservation
Strategy will be replaced.

A replacement strategy shall be prepared and issued
in accordance with sections 13 to 17 of the Energy
Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000.

Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional
Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary
integration agreement has been signed between the Minister
of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting
through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry
of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the
proprietor of the following school:

St Patrick’s College, Silverstream.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed
on 22 March 2006.

A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is
available for inspection without charge by any member of
the public at the local office of the Ministry of Education,
65 Waterloo Road, Lower Hutt.

Regulations 1999

Fisheries (Declaration of Te Whaka ā Te Wera

Mātaitai Reserve Bylaws) Notice 2006

Pursuant to Regulations 25 and 26 of the Fisheries
(South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999,
the Minister of Fisheries hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be
    cited as the Fisheries (Declaration of Te Whaka ā Te Wera
    Mātaitai Reserve Bylaws) Notice 2006.

(2) This notice shall come into effect 28 days after the date
of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Interpretation—In this notice:

(a) The term "Te Whaka ā Te Wera Mātaitai Reserve"
means the mātaitai reserve at Te Whaka ā Te Wera
(Paterson Inlet), Stewart Island notified in the
Fisheries (Declaration of Mātaitai Reserve and
Appointment of Tāngata Tiaki/Kaitiaki) Notice 2004
(No. F310) (New Zealand Gazette, 2 December
2004, No. 158, page 3921).

(b) Any reference to "Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki" means
any person or persons appointed as Tangata
Tiaki/Kaitiaki for the Te Whaka ā Te Wera Mātaitai
Reserve under Regulation 21 of the Fisheries
(South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999.

(c) For the purposes of this bylaw, white pointer
includes white shark and mako-taniwha.
