Reserves Act 1977

Change of Classification of a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of the reserve described in the Schedule from a recreation reserve to a reserve for local purpose (wildlife protection, maritime safety, cultural and visitor facilities), subject to the provisions of the Act.

Change of Purpose of Part of a Reserve—Alexandra, Central Otago District

Pursuant to section 24A of the Reserves Act 1977, the Central Otago District Council hereby changes the purpose of that part of the reserve described in the Schedule from local purpose (cemetery) reserve to local purpose (crematory) reserve, subject to the provisions of the Act.

Amendment to a Notice Declaring That Land is a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Acting Community Relations Manager of the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation amends an error in the notice headed Declaration That Land is a Reserve, dated the 17th day of April 2002 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 9 May 2002, No. 45, page 1315, by omitting from the Schedule the words:

"19.4806 hectares, being Lot 6, and part Lot 5, D.P. 14050, and Lot 1, D.P. 15652. All certificate of title 38C/64."

and inserting in their place:

Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation to be known as the Hamahona Whanau Reservation for the purpose of a papakāinga to be known as Te Konoti B1 South East B1B for the common use and benefit of the descendants of the owners, being Mere Ashby, Rina Ngakete, Ritihia Cooper and Susan Stevens.
