Reserves Act 1977

Classification of Reserves

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager of the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserves described in the First and Third Schedules as reserves for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the reserves, subject to the provisions of the Act, and further changes the classification of the reserves described in the Second Schedule to local purpose (plantation) reserves and further revokes the appointment of the Parnassus Domain Board to control and manage the reserve described in the Third Schedule, and further vests the reserves described in the Third and Fourth Schedules in the Hurunui District Council in trust for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the reserves.
