Declaring State Highway to be Limited Access Road

—Otago Southland Region

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated
8 February 2006 and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the
Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares those
parts of State highway described in the Schedule hereto
and as more particularly shown on Plans LA/13/006/956 and
LA/14/096/000 and accompanying schedules held in the
office of the Regional Manager, Transit New Zealand,
Dunedin and there available for public inspection, to be
limited access road.

Schedule

(a) In the Southland District, that section of State Highway
No. 96 in Makarewa, commencing at the intersection
between State Highway No. 1 and State Highway
No. 96 (Route Position 0/0.000) and proceeding in a
generally westerly direction to the Makarewa Flood
Channel Bridge (Route Position 30/0.000); a distance of
28.1 kilometres.

(b) In the Queenstown Lakes District, that section of State
Highway No. 6 commencing at the Gentle Annie Bridge
(Route Position 956/4.45) and proceeding in a generally
westerly direction to the northern boundary of Section
4, SO 24743 (Route Position 956/12.96); a distance of
8.5 kilometres.

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Conservation Land to be a Reserve

Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Auckland Conservator
for the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of
Conservation declares that the conservation area described
in the Schedule shall be set apart as a reserve, subject to
the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a local purpose
(public utility) reserve, subject to the provisions of the latter
Act.

Authorisation of Exchange of Conservation Area

for Other Land

Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator of the
Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy of the Department of
Conservation authorises the exchange of the conservation
area described in the First Schedule for the land described
in the Second Schedule, and further specifies that the land in
the latter Schedule be held for conservation purposes.

Māori Land Development Notice

Pursuant to section 21 of the Māori Affairs Restructuring
Act 1989, the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Māori
Development hereby gives notice as follows.

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as Māori Land Development
   Notice, Whangarei 2006, No. 2.
2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is
   hereby revoked.
3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is
   hereby released from the provisions of Part II of the Māori
   Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.\n
