Notice Stating Where Copies of Statement of Proposal to Amend Compliance Document B1 Structure are Available, and Where Material Proposed to be Incorporated by Reference into Compliance Document B1 Structure is Available for Inspection and Purchase

Pursuant to section 29 of the Building Act 2004 (“the Act”), notice is given that Verification Methods B1/VM1 and B1/VM4 of Compliance Document B1 Structure are proposed to be amended.

The Statement of Proposal is available from the national office of the Department of Building and Housing, Level Six, 86 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, between the hours of 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

The Statement of Proposal also may be downloaded free of charge from the web site:

Material proposed to be incorporated by reference

Pursuant to section 409 (2) (d) of the Act, I give notice that SNZ HB 8603:2004 is proposed to be incorporated by reference into Verification Method B1/VM1 of Compliance Document B1 Structure.

I also give notice that the material currently incorporated by reference in Verification Method B1/VM1 of Compliance Document B1 Structure, as set out in the first column below, is proposed to be replaced by the material in the second column:

As a consequence of these proposed amendments, the following materials that are currently incorporated by reference would be removed:

• AS/NZS 1664 Part 2:1997
• NZS 1900 Division 11.2:1985
• NZS 3106:1986
• NZS 4219:1983
• NZS 4230:1990

Copies of the materials proposed to be incorporated by reference are, until 16 March 2007, available for inspection free of charge at the national office of the Department of Building and Housing, Level Six, 86 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, between the hours of 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., Monday to Friday, or may be purchased from Standards New Zealand, Level Ten, Radio New Zealand House, 155 The Terrace, Wellington.
