Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003

Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2005/7:

Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways

Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and clause 2.6 of the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003 (Rule 54001), Transit New Zealand hereby amends the following bylaw.

Amendment

  1. This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. The Transit New Zealand (Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways) Bylaw 2005/7* is hereby amended by:

(a) Inserting a new line 240 (a), in Schedule 3 of that bylaw to read:

"On: SH2
At: Whakamarama
From RP 130/9.07 To RP 130/13.7
Distance from nearest Road/Feature

200m north of Plummers Point to 180m east of Loop Road

Speed Restriction (km/h):
90".

(b) Replacing line 242, in Schedule 3 of that bylaw which reads:

"On: SH2
At: Te Puna
From RP 130/14.62 To RP 146/0.59
Distance from nearest Road/Feature

360m east of Te Puna Road to 345m west of Carmichael Road

Speed Restriction (km/h):
90".

(c) Replacing line 243, in Schedule 3 of the bylaw which reads:

"From RP 146/0.59
Distance from nearest Road/Feature

345m west of Carmichael Road to 370m east of Bethlehem Road."

Speed Restriction (km/h):
90".

This bylaw was made by resolution passed at a meeting of Transit New Zealand held in Wellington on the 2nd day of November 2005.
