Revocation of Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Riverdale School (2667)

The notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Riverdale School (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 13 October 2005, No. 175, page 4403, and subsequently amended in New Zealand Gazette, 17 November 2005, No. 193, page 4833) is hereby revoked under section 78M (7) of the Education Act 1989.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of St Joseph’s School (2453), Taihape

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of St Joseph’s School because of the risks to the operation of the school.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
• all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage communications and relationships within the school, and between the school and its community (whether statutory or otherwise); and
• board organisation and management.

A limited statutory manager may also advise the board on the following:

• Curriculum self review; and
• student achievement information reporting to the board.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

Wesley School, Paerata.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on 15 November 2006.

A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the local office of the Ministry of Education, Maungawhau Office, Eden 5 Building, corner of Edwin Street and Normandy Road, Mt Eden, Auckland.
