Amendments to the New Zealand Rules of Racing

Pursuant to sections 29 to 32 of the Racing Act 2003, notice
is given that the following New Zealand Rules of Racing
have been introduced, amended or deleted:

438 (1)
438 (4)
440 (9) – deleted
528 (1)
865A – mechanical failure of starting stalls or other
prejudice at start of race may lead to horse being
declared a non-starter

912 (1)
912 (2)

The new rule 865A, the amendments to Rules 438 (1),
438 (4), 912 (1) and 912 (2), and the deletion of Rule
440 (9) come into effect from 1 December 2006.

The amendment to Rule 528 (1) comes into effect from
1 January 2007.
