Explanatory Note

This notice specifies five matters required to be notified by either the Commodity Levies (Fish) Order 2002 or the Constitution of SeaFIC.

They are:

1. the rates of levy to be levied on fish under the Order;
2. the dates on and from which the rates take effect;
3. the Core Services Levy Rates;
4. the Stock Specific Levy Rates; and
5. the Total Levy Rates (which are the same as the rates of levy for the purposes of the Order).

The rates are all notified for the 1 October 2006 to 30 September 2007 Levy Year.

The notice also records for the information of levy payers and others:

• the Declared Port Prices as declared by SeaFIC (column 1);
• the Core Services Levy Rates expressed on a $ per tonne basis (column 2);
• the Stock Specific Levy Rates expressed on a $ per tonne basis (column 4); and
• the Total Levy Rates expressed on $ per tonne and $ per kilo bases (columns 6 and 7).

With the exception of the new species to be introduced into the QMS on 1 October 2006, the rates specified are only listed for Quota Management Areas where a TACC has been set. Areas with a Zero TACC have been excluded. In the case of PAU5A, PAU5B and PAU5D, two rates have been gazetted with the final rate being determined by decisions made by the Minister of Fisheries. Quota owners will be advised of the applied rate in early October 2006.\n

Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003

Podiatrists (Fees) Amendment Notice 2006

Pursuant to part 6, section 130 (1) of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, the following notice is given.

This notice sets out the fees to be charged by the Podiatrists Board under the Act to be enforceable from 1 April 2007.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Podiatrists Annual Practising Certificate Fee Amendment Notice 2006.

(2) This notice comes into force on 1 April 2007.
