Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes, Declaring a Conservation Area to be a Classified Reserve, and Appointment to Control and Manage

Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Acting Conservator of the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation declares that the land described in the Schedule is held for conservation purposes, and further declares that the conservation area described in the Schedule shall be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977 (“the Act”), and classified as a recreation reserve subject to the provisions of the Act, and further, under the Act, appoints The Sure and Stedfast Development Trust to control and manage the reserve for recreation purposes.

Pursuant to section 114 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, R. J.
