Notice of Approval Given Pursuant to Section 160 (3) of the Crown Entities Act 2004
Pursuant to section 160 (3) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, I, Jane Meares, Manager, Legal Group, The Treasury, hereby give notice that on 23 August 2006, The Honourable Dr Michael Cullen, Minister of Finance, and The Honourable Steve Maharey, Minister of Broadcasting, gave approval, under section 160 (1) (b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, for Radio New Zealand to hold debt facilities up to a maximum of $3.5 million provided the debt is held with a New Zealand registered bank or building society that meets the credit rating specified in the Crown Entities (Financial Powers) Regulations 2005.

Pursuant to section 160 (3) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, I, Jane Meares, Acting Treasury Solicitor (acting under delegation from The Honourable Dr Michael Cullen, Minister of Finance), hereby give notice that on 10 August 2006, approval was given by the Minister of Health and Associate Minister of Finance, under section 160 (1) (b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, for the Crown Health Financing Agency to acquire a security in relation to the sale of a former hospital site.

Land Transport Act 1998
Notification of Ordinary Rule
Pursuant to section 161 (3) of the Land Transport Act 1998, notification is given of the making of Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices Amendment 2006 (Rule 54002/2).
This Rule amends *Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004**, which specifies the requirements for the design, construction, installation, operation and maintenance of traffic control devices, and sets out the functions and responsibilities of road controlling authorities in providing traffic control devices.
This amendment Rule corrects errors and clarifies provisions in Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004.
The changes made by the amendment Rule include:
Allowing fixed signs to be used at ramp signals instead of variable signs; clarifying provisions relating to pedestrian crossings, pedestrian traffic signals and school bus signs; amending definitions; and inserting new traffic signs and amending existing signs and markings in the Schedules.
Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices Amendment 2006 comes into force on 6 October 2006.
It is available for inspection free of charge at the National Office of Land Transport New Zealand, 7 Waterloo Quay, Wellington.
A bound copy will be available in September 2006 for purchase from selected bookshops that sell legislation or from Wickliffe Limited, freephone 0800 226 440.
