Commodity Levies Act 1990

New Zealand Avocado Growers’ Association
Commodity Levy Rates

Below are the commodity levy rates as approved by
resolution at the annual general meeting of the New Zealand
Avocado Growers’ Association on 29 July 2006:

  1. That the levy rate for avocado fruit sold into the
    domestic market be set at 3% for the period 1 May
    2007 to 13 September 2007.

  2. That the levy rate for avocado fruit sold into the
    export market be set at 15 cents per 5.5kg trays for
    the period 1 May 2007 to 13 September 2007.

  3. That the levy rate for processed avocado fruit sold be
    set at 1% for the period 1 May 2007 to 13 September

Please be advised that an application for a new levy order is
under way and will take effect from September 2007.

Commodity Levies (Orchard Fruit) Order 2001

Notification of Rate of Levy for Year Ending
26 July 2007

The New Zealand Fruitgrowers Federation hereby advises
that, in accordance with Clause 11 (2) of the Commodity
Levies (Orchard Fruit) Order 2001, the rate of levy for the
year ending 26 July 2007 was fixed at the annual conference
of the federation held on 2 August 2006 as follows:

"The levy rate remains at 0.07% of the gross sales value
($7.00 per $10,000.00 of sales) of all orchard fruit plus
GST."

Due to increased costs, the charge for notices published in the New Zealand Gazette will increase from
40 cents per word to 50 cents per word with effect from 1 September 2006.
