AUSTRALIA – NEW ZEALAND CLOSER ECONOMIC RELATIONS TRADE AGREEMENT

Application for the Determination of Goods to be a Manufactured Raw Material: Notice 2006/01

Notice is hereby given that application has been made for the goods, described in the Schedule hereto, to
be determined to be manufactured raw material for the purposes of paragraph 1 (b) (iii) of Article 3 of the
Australia – New Zealand Closer Economic Relations Trade Agreement, 1983.

Goods which are determined as manufactured raw materials for such purposes qualify as materials encompassed by regulation
33(1)(b)(i)(C) of the Customs and Excise Regulations 1996.

Any person or company wishing to lodge an objection to New Zealand determining the goods described in the following
schedule to be a manufactured raw material, should do so in writing within 21 calendar days of the date of this Gazette.
Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item and description of goods concerned and be
addressed to New Zealand Customs Service, PO Box 29, Auckland for the attention of the Valuation & Origin section.
It should be supported by information as to the quality, range, supply, etc., of identical or substitutable/suitable alternative
materials produced in New Zealand.
