Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited
Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of
Mangakahia Area School (18)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct
the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory
manager for the Mangakahia Area School Board of Trustees
because of risks to the operation of the school in relation to
the He Mataariki School for Teen Parents.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board
are vested in a limited statutory manager in relation to the
He Mataariki School for Teen Parents:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board to manage
  the operations of the He Mataariki School for Teen
  Parents (whether statutory or otherwise);

• all functions, powers and duties of the board for financial
  management of the He Mataariki School for Teen Parents
  (whether statutory or otherwise); and

• all functions, powers and duties of the board as an
  employer in relation to the He Mataariki School for Teen
  Parents (whether statutory or otherwise).

The following condition applies to the exercising of the
powers by the limited statutory manager:

• All staff appointments must be made in consultation with
  the Board of Trustees of Mangakahia Area School.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Fisheries Act 1996

Fisheries (Coromandel Scallop Total Allowable
Catch) Notice 2006 (No. F374)

Pursuant to section 13 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the
Minister of Fisheries, after having regard to the matters
specified in that section, makes the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be
   cited as the Fisheries (Coromandel Scallop Total Allowable
   Catch) Notice 2006.

(2) This notice shall come into effect the day after the date
of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Coromandel Scallop Fishery defined—The Coromandel
   Scallop Fishery quota management area is the area as defined
   in Schedule 4 of the Fisheries (Declaration of New Stock
   Subject to Quota Management System) Notice 2001.

3. Total allowable catch for the Coromandel Scallop
   Fishery increased for 2006-07 fishing year—The total
   allowable catch for the Coromandel Scallop Fishery for the
   2006-07 fishing year is increased to 189 tonnes meatweight
   in accordance with section 13 (7) of the Fisheries Act 1996.

4. Total allowable catch for the Coromandel Scallop
   Fishery reverts—From 1 April 2007, the total allowable
   catch for the Coromandel Scallop Fishery reverts back to
   48 tonnes meatweight in accordance with section 13 (8) of
   the Fisheries Act 1996.
