The Alcohol Advisory Council Levy Notice 2005
Pursuant to section 27 (1) of the Alcohol Advisory Council Act 1976, the Minister of Health gives the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Alcohol Advisory Council Levy Notice 2005.

The rate of levy payable under section 28 of the Alcohol Advisory Council Act 1976 for the year ended 30 June 2006 and for each basic unit of each class of liquor is:
Beer 1.34c/litre
Spirits (alcohol by volume) 43.90c/litre of alcohol
Fortified wine 8.04c/litre
Unfortified wine 4.93c/litre

Pursuant to section 92 of the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992, I, Karen Olive Poutasi, Director-General of Health, give the following notice.

This notice shall be read together with the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act Notice 2000—Appointment of Directors of Area Mental Health Services (“the principal notice”)*.

The Schedule to the principal notice is amended in respect of
“Area 4—Gisborne”
by omitting the name and title
“Rosemary Ruth Muir, registered nurse, of Gisborne”†
and substituting the name and title
“Hester Swart, consultant psychiatrist, of Gisborne.”

Social Security Act 1964
Maximum Contribution Applying in Each Territorial Local Authority Region From 1 July 2005
The Social Security (Long-term Residential Care) Amendment Act 2004 amends the Social Security Act 1964 (“the Act”) to make a number of significant changes to income and asset testing for older people requiring long-term residential care indefinitely.
The changes come into effect on 1 July 2005.
The new policy applies to people already in residential care in District Health Board (“DHB”) contracted facilities and to all people who enter such care from 1 July 2005.
