Appointment of Acting Judge of the High Court

Pursuant to section 11A of the Judicature Act 1908,
Her Excellency the Governor-General, in the name and
on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, has been pleased
to appoint

The Honourable Colin Maurice Nicholson
an Acting Judge of the High Court for a term of one year,
the commission to take effect on 21 June 2005, a certificate
having been signed by the Chief Justice and the Chief High
Court Judge that in their opinion it is necessary for the due
conduct of the business of the Court that an Acting Judge
be appointed.

Electricity Act 1992

Notice of Disciplinary Action Taken by the
Electrical Workers Registration Board

The Registrar of the Electrical Workers Registration Board
("the board"), having been directed by the board, in
accordance with section 139 of the Electricity Act 1992
("the Act"), gives notice of the following registered
electrical worker having been disciplined by the board under
Part 11 of the Act, and the effect of the order of the board
under section 127 of the Act:

Derek Brian Hall, of Auckland, registration E 5052, has
been found guilty of a disciplinary offence. The board
ordered, pursuant to section 127 (2) (h) of the Act,
that Derek Brian Hall be censured. In addition,
pursuant to section 127 (3) of the Act, Derek Brian
Hall was ordered to pay a fine of seven hundred and
fifty dollars ($750.00). The fine was to be paid by
30 April 2004.

has been found guilty of a disciplinary offence. The
board ordered, pursuant to section 127 (2) (h) of the
Act, that Suresh Chandra be censured. In addition,
pursuant to section 127 (3) of the Act, Suresh
Chandra was ordered to pay a fine of two-thousand,
seven-hundred and fifty dollars ($2,750.00). The fine
was to be paid by 5 May 2005.

Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited
Statutory Manager for the Establishment Board of
Trustees of Taihape Area School (549)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct
the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory
manager for the Taihape Area School Establishment Board
of Trustees because of risks to the operation of the school,
welfare and educational performance of its students.
The following functions, powers and duties of the
establishment board are to be vested in a limited statutory
manager:

● All functions, powers and duties of the board as an
employer (whether statutory or otherwise); and
● all functions, powers and duties of the board in regard to
the implementation of the June 2005 action plan
approved by the board.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.
