Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and

Compensation Act 2001

Notice of Proposal to Recommend Changes to the
Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and
Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute
to Cost of Treatment) Regulations 2003

Pursuant to section 324 of the Injury Prevention,
Rehabilitation, and Compensation Act 2001, the Accident
Compensation Corporation (ACC) gives notice of its
intention to recommend to the Minister for ACC that
changes be made to the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation,
and Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute to Cost
of Treatment) Regulations 2003.

A period of public consultation on the proposed Regulations
is also notified and details are given below:

  1. An explanation of ACC’s proposal to recommend that
    such Regulations be made, as well as the proposed
    Regulations, are contained in the document titled
    Cost of Treatment Regulations Consultation Document
    (Adjustment to Rates)
    . The document may be obtained:

    submissions on the proposed Regulations is 30 June
    2005
    .

    ACC, P.O. Box 242, Wellington.

Notice of Application to Register a Trade Name Product (Notice No. 1430)

Pursuant to section 14 (1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997, the Director-General of the
Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry hereby gives notice that the following application has been made to register a trade name
product under section 9 (1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997:

Trade Name: Profender

Reference: A009546

Active Ingredients and Concentrations:
Praziquantel – 85.75g/kg
Emodepside – 21.43g/kg

General Use Claim: For the treatment and control of intestinal parasites in cats including:
Roundworms – mature, immature and larval (L3 and L4) stages of Toxocara cati, and mature, immature and larval (L4)
stages of Toxascaris leonine
Hookworm – Uncinaria stenocephala*, including larval (L4) and immature stages
Tapeworms – mature and immature stages of Dipylidium caninum, Taenia taeniaeformis.

Any person may make a written submission to the Director-General, under section 17 of the Agricultural Compounds and
Veterinary Medicines Act 1997, concerning any application notified above.

Such submissions:
(a) must state in full the reasons for making the submission;
(b) may state any decision sought on that application;
(c) must be received by the Director-General no later than 30 working days after the date of notification in the New Zealand
Gazette
; and
(d) should be forwarded to the address given below.

A copy of every submission will be forwarded to the applicant for its information.
