Amendment of the Notice Approving an Alternative Constitution for the Board of Trustees of Benneydale School (161)

Pursuant to section 105A of the Education Act 1989,
I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 24 February 2005, page 1051, regarding the approval of an alternative constitution for the board of trustees of Benneydale School.

The trustees appointed to the first board established, under section 105A of the Education Act 1989, will take office on 11 November 2005.

Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Te Kura Maori-a-Rohe o Waiohau (2062)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Te Kura Maori-a-Rohe o Waiohau Board of Trustees because of risks to the operation of the school and the educational performance of its students.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
• All functions, powers and duties of the board to manage financial operations (whether statutory or otherwise);
• All functions, powers and duties of the board for the management of property (whether statutory or otherwise); and
• The responsibility for the development and implementation of an action plan to address the recommendations and compliance issues identified in the December 2004 Education Review Office Report.

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:

• Consolidating all new and improved systems into board management practice.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Waiheke Primary School (6922), Seaview Road, Waiheke Island, Auckland City, Board of Trustees Election Notice

Acting with authority delegated by the Minister of Education, under section 101 (7) of the Education Act 1989,
I approve Wednesday, 29 June 2005, as the closing date for voting in the first elections of parent representatives and a staff representative for Waiheke Primary School Board of Trustees.

I also approve 6 July 2005 as the date for the first meeting of the board of trustees.

This notice shall take effect the day after publication.

Regulations 1998

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) (d) (i) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education,
I hereby cancel the licence dated 7 February 2001, which was granted under those Regulations to Ngatai Kara in respect of BirchGrove Multicultural Preschool (70304), situated at 65 Briggs Road, Shirley, Christchurch.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) (d) (i) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education,
I hereby cancel the licence dated 23 June 2000, which was granted under those Regulations to Deirdre Lealuga in respect of Empowering Educare North (65066), situated at 11 Jipco Road, Sockburn, Christchurch.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre
