Ngati Tama Claims Settlement Act 2003

Appointment of a Joint Advisory Committee

Under sections 42 and 43 of the Ngati Tama Claims Settlement Act 2003 and section 56 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby appoints the members named in the Schedule to be a joint advisory committee for the purposes of the Ngati Tama Claims Settlement Act.

Each member shall hold office for a term of five years from 5 November 2004.

The Conservator, Wanganui, and the New Plymouth Area Manager of the Department of Conservation Wanganui Conservancy are appointed ex officio and, in the case of the Conservator, the Conservator’s nominee may attend meetings on the Conservator’s behalf and exercise all the functions of a member of the committee.

Paul Silich shall be the chairperson of the committee.

Education Lands Act 1949

Land Declared No Longer Required for Education Purposes

Pursuant to section 5A of the Education Lands Act 1949, and pursuant to an authority delegated to me, I, Paul Dickson Burke, Group Manager Property, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby give the following notice.

1. The land described in the Schedule to this notice is no longer required for education purposes.

2. This notice shall come into force on 31 March 2005.

Land Act 1948

Reservation and Classification of Land and Vesting — Part Victoria Park, Te Awamutu, Waipa District

Under the Land Act 1948, the Waikato Conservator for the Waikato Conservancy of the Department of Conservation sets apart the land described in the Schedule as reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and further, classifies the reserve for recreation purposes and vests the reserve in the Waipa District Council in trust for that purpose.

Public Works Act 1981

Land to be Declared Road, Limited Access Road and State Highway — State Highway No. 1N, Mangapai Passing Lane, Whangarei District

Pursuant to section 114 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand, declares the land described in the Schedule to this notice to be road which, pursuant to section 88 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, becomes road, limited access road and State highway and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
