Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, I, The Honourable
Dame Silvia Cartwright, Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to
be taken for road purposes and to vest in the North Shore
City Council on the 14th day after the date of the publication
of this Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, subject to
the interests identified in the Schedule.

Notice of Intention to Take Land—for State
Highway No. 3, Bell Block Bypass,
New Plymouth District
Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions
of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to
take the land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).
The land is required partly for road to form part of State
Highway No. 3.
The balance of the land is required for segregation strip and
for use in connection with a road during construction.
The intended taking is considered reasonably necessary to
improve traffic flow and sight distances and reduce traffic
congestion.
All practicable alternatives were considered prior to
designation of the land.

The proposed land use is in accordance with the designation
under the district plan.
The owner of the land and those persons with a registered
interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s
intention to take the land and advised of their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a
written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court,
Tribunals Division, Department for Courts, P.O. Box
5027, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of
publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice,
a public hearing will be heard with the right of the
objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector
otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of
the time and place of the hearing.

from the Minister for Land Information, Stephen Robert
Gilbert, Land Information New Zealand:
(a) Pursuant to section 114, declares the land firstly
described in the Schedule to this notice to be service lane
and vested in the Tauranga City Council;
(b) Pursuant to section 20 and to agreements to that
effect having been entered into, the land described secondly
and thirdly in the Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for
service lane and vested in the Tauranga City Council
on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand
Gazette.
